I’ve read lots of books about organizing, how are you different?

If you’re like many of my clients, you’ve tried to get organized by the book. Make that books. A common source of ironic clutter is the overflowing shelf of books on organization and time management, many of them highlighted and dog-eared but still not really helping out.

Many people who struggle with getting (and staying) organized are tactile learners. That means we learn best by doing, and that’s why a hands-on organizing session is so much more helpful than chasing the dream that the next organizing book will be The One that finally helps us. As one of my clients finally said, throwing up her hands in relief, “You read the books and show me what to do!”

As we work together, you’ll learn in a deep way why we’re doing what we’re doing and how it can work for you. I’m an incredibly hands-on Organizer and I involve you in the process to help you internalize what we’re doing and own the knowledge. You can keep the books if you want to but you won’t need to.  Your in-the-field experiments and successes will give you the skills to stay organized even after I’m gone.

Do you feel like you missed the day they taught Organizing 101?
