Why keep a battered old phone case?

This Saturday I’m sending away this old phone case. Torn, bent, coming apart at the seams, it’s not protecting anything. We bought a new one and shoved this one in the drawer “just in case”. Who am I kidding? It’s truly worn out and it’s time to get it out of here.

Where can I take my old cell phone case?

At this point, it’s not donatable. This cell phone case needs to just go in the trash. If it had been serviceable, I could have dropped it off at the thrift store but thanks to the planned obsolesence of ever-changing cell phone sizes, they most likely wouldn’t be able to resell it either. We avoid it when we can, but sometimes the best place for our worn out items is the trash can.
