clutter challenge: the written word

This week’s challenge: are you ready to let go of something with writing on it? A shopping list, a magazine, this year’s pile of Christmas cards? Can’t wait to hear what you come up with!

P.S. Quick health update: my MRI scan this week came back clean! I’ll be carrying on with the chemo regimen of course but it was very encouraging to see that the chemo is doing its job.

  1. So happy to hear your good news, Lucy. I think of you often. I’m reminded by your challenge that I need to go through my file folder to get rid of last years papers, like car registrations, etc.

  2. Hooray for a clean scan! 🙂 I finally cleared away a bunch of notes from college courses! LOL! I have no idea why I was holding on to them!

  3. Joyful news about the scan, Lucy!

Last year, I helped my wife sort through a big pile of papers written by past students, to shred any that looked personally identifiable in any way. It took a lot longer than I had reckoned; but we agreed it was important. If only I had checked my belief that my particular shredder needed no lubricating…

Locally, public services will take most paper and card for recycling, including old greetings cards – but not the metallic or twinkly bits.
